Sterilizer Manufacturer:
Tuttnauer
Model of Sterilizer:
Tuttnauer 2340M/MK
Problem Title:
Tuttnauer 2340M 2540MK- switch problem
Problem Description:
The switch on back kicks and power to sterilizer goes off. It does it intermittently.
Reasons
1. The machine was running in high temperature, the over heat protection activated, which stop the power supply

Solutions

1. If this happened, please let the machine cool down naturely, then open the door to check if there is any water remaining inside the chamber or not. It should have no water inside the chamber. Then the chamber got high temperature, then its over heat protection works to stop power supply.

You can also see some water comes back to the reservoir during its running.

There are too many possibilities for this issue. In general, there is a leak somewhere. For the Tuttnauer M, or MK machine mostly the leaking is from the multi function valve. Depends on which year the machine made (left side or right side), the replacement parts is different.

The following parts is for your reference. According to our experience, they are mostly the reason for. However, we can not confirm the problem without a full test.
2. Call the customer, it says the year 2004. the valve number should as follows.

The customer also said, there is water inside the chamber. So the leaking is not the reason. Then the customer may need to check the machine temperature settings.

Please stay in the front of the machine when the machine is heated up. Watch the reading on the front analogue pressure gauge, to make sure the PSIG is not over 30.

If it is over 30 PSIG, then take the pressure knnot off, and re-calibration to make the heating element off early at 30 PSIG.

If the maximum reading of the gauge is 30 PSIG, then check the air jet (A small piece ring inside the reservoir), to make sure there is air bleeding when the machine is hot). If the air cannot bleed out from the chamber before 275F (normally air starts bleeding at 200F), the the mixture Air and Steam will make the machine heating element on to a high temperature to get 30PSIG

Please try the above 2 ways first. Then we will do other follow up.

NOTE: the follow valve is just FYI. It does NOT seem the reason for your case.
