Sterilizer Manufacturer:
Pelton & Crane
Model of Sterilizer:
Validator 10
Problem Title:
alpha validator with no power
Problem Description:
alpha retro validator with no power to lights or heating element. connected #1 & #2 from TCR4C relay as you suggested. still no lights. machine getting power as buzzer still works when i plug it in. visual inspection doesn't show any obvious burned or melted parts. is the relay bad the most likely cause? if so, please send me one. thanks
Solutions
1. Towards the front of the sterilizer on the bottom of the chamber is an overheat protector...this is right behind the front panel. Check the wiring on this. The heater element might also be bad and you need to check the ohms on it as this is part of the circuit. Another item to check is the door switch.

have visually inspected behind gauges and underneath chamber. don't see anything burned or loose. do you have a picture or drawing of what i need to be looking for? perhaps a schematic showing where i'm supposed to be measuring what voltage?
i have purchased 2 alphas in the last few years (one cox and this one) and i made my decision based on the assurances that alpha had made this virtually indestructible by changing out the digital automatic keypad with the manual operation. my old validator 10 worked for 15 years with virtually no problems, in fact i dug it out of the basement to use until i can get this running again.
