I am writing to you because I am having a problem with my sterilizer. I can fill the autoclave by pushing the fill button and run the cycle normally. However, after the cycle is finished, I will open the door to find the cylinder is still filled with water. Sometimes the level of water in the cylinder is so great that it rushes out when the door is opened. Is this a problem with the switch, something electrical, or the fill solenoid? One more thing, the autoclave is heating up and building pressure during it's cycle.">

Reasons
1. This can be caused by the fill solenoid but because it builds pressure and holds it, the cause may be a hole in the condensor tube located in the resovoir. If this has a small hole in it,the water can be siphoned out of the resovoir because of a slight vacuum after exhaust.

Solutions

1. Run the sterilizer up to operating pressure and temp. Turn the timer to off and immediately push the fill switch and complete venting thru the fill line. This should blow out any debris in the line and solenoid. If after doing this you still have the problem, remove the cover and inspect condensor tube. You will need to remove tube to inpect. If a hole is found, replace.
