Sterilizer Manufacturer:
Tuttnauer
Model of Sterilizer:
2540 & 3870 EHS
Problem Title:
Tuttnauer -Water does not drain
Problem Description:
After we ran a cycle, there is standing water in the bottom of the autoclave.
Reasons
1. Tuttnauer EHS is pretty "water-tight" sterilizer. Both of its water supply reservoirs (one miner free, one cooling water) are controlled by the software.

If there is a water under the machine, it will be many reasons. But you need to check leakage first. For example, under the chamber, there is a fitting connection for the temperature sensor, make sure no leaking there. Also somewhere else.
2. Question:

Bottom of Autoclave here means The Bottom of the machine OR the Bottom of chamber?

After running a cycle, if there is some water remaining inside the chamber, then it will be totally another story.

Solutions

1. Please see the reasons above. Could you tell us your machine is 2540EHS or 3870EHS. Their piping systems are different. Sounds there is some leaking in the piping system (water supply and vent).
2. Of course, check your door gasket first, this is first step to check if there is a leaking. Please make sure no leaking from the door
3. When you first run this machine (the machine is cold, no high temperature in its jacket), try to run a Cycle 6: Vacuum Test, to make sure, the vacuum test is OK. The machine can get 23 ~ 24IH vaccum value.

If the vacuum test is OK. Then we know the leaking is NOT from many areas, such as: Door, Piping, Chamber, ... etc. Then you can focus on others, such as: Jacket, Reservoir, ... etc.
