Problem Title:
midmark model 9 intermittent error code 5 i have removed the bellows and it is clear any help would be appreciated |

Problem Description:
i keep receiving error code 5 intermittently and the bellows is clear |
| Reasons |
| 1. The machine shuts down during sterilization cycle |
| 2. sterilizer overloaded |
| 3. bellows malfunctioning (closing early) |
| 4. sterilizer potentionmeter out of calibration and/or dirty temperature sensor |
| 5. temperature sensor malfunctioning |

Solutions |
| 1. Check that pressure vessel is not overloaded with heavy linen packs. instruct operator to reduce load size |
| 2. Bellows should close at approx 212F (100C). Replace bellows |
| 3. Clean temperature sensor, then check calibration of using pressure gauge test harness. Perform temperature/pressure potentionmeter adjustment. |
| 4. check calibration replace temperature sensor assembly and recalibrate. |
