Sterilizer Manufacturer:
Midmark
Model of Sterilizer:
Problem Title:
Midmark M-9 overheat failure error E006
Problem Description:
When I run a sterilizer cycle, the pressure indication on the panel doesn't rise as much as it should to match the temperature. The temperature indication goes up to 275 degrees but the pressure at that temperature indication is 17 lb, where it should be at 31 lb. I put an external pressure gage in the line and it correlated closely with the temperature gauge. I have also changed the pressure on the circuit board with no change in the problem. I infer that the problem lies not in the temperature sensor or the pressure sensor but elsewhere.
As a result, the temperature rises to 275 and we get a E006 ( over temperature) message and the cycle shuts down and the chamber vents. Where do I look next? Is it another component on the circuit board?

Solutions

1. The temperature reading does not match pressure reading, defintely at least one of their sensors are out of calibration. Maybe both are out of calibration.

In my understanding of your test, the external pressure gauge also got a reading about 31. In this case, then the PCB board is out of calibration: its reading pressure value does not match the real pressure value.

In this case, you need to recalibrate the board, if you can solve the reading error. Otherwise, you need to replace this PCB board.
