Sterilizer Manufacturer:
Pelton & Crane
Model of Sterilizer:
Problem Title:
OCM Unit Heat Light would not come on.
Problem Description:
This is an OCM unit, and would not start or indicate sterilizing. (no Heat light on) After a couple of attemps to start a cycle, unit started working. I took cover off and could not identify any problem. Suspecting Function Sw? I have ran a dozen cycles and cannot get unit to fail. The only thing I did note was the unit was exceeding both pressure and temp green areas. I have turned the pot on the control brd ccw about .5 turn and now unit does not exceed the green indicator. Are there things to check. I am replacing the function switch, to rule it out.
Reasons
1. Is this a Pelton with the original electronics or was it modified and autovents?

Solutions

1. There is a overheat protector on the bottom front left side of the chamber if you are looking at the front of the unit. It is right behind the front panel and attached to the heat sheild attached to the chamber. This may have been activated because of low or no water. You also have either 2 or 3 micro switches that may cause this. The switch closest to the front controls main power and the switch towards the back switches the heating elements between sterilize and dry cycle.
