Sterilizer Manufacturer:
Tuttnauer
Model of Sterilizer:
Tuttnauer 2340 E/EK/EA/EKA
Problem Title:
Corrosion problems
Problem Description:
Hello, we have had our Tuttnauer 2340EA autoclave for over three years. We use this autoclave approximately 2 times a day, 5 days a week. We have what appears to be a corrosion problem. We have always had this problem and have had it in to a local repair shop three times to replace internal valves and components. The copper tubing inside the unit seems to be corroding excessively causing the distilled water in the reservoir to turn blue/turquoise after approximately 4 cycles. We use Chamber Brite cleaner around twice a week in hopes of keeping this under control but it doesn't seem to help much. I think the process of cycling the distilled water is actually doing the most good. The repair facility actually suggested that the Chamber Brite is causing the corrosion. Could this be possible? Do you have any suggestions as to what we should do? Additionally, is there another cleaning solution that could be used?

Thank you,
