Sterilizer Manufacturer:
Pelton & Crane
Model of Sterilizer:
OCR
Problem Title:
ocr serial #a4-41107
Problem Description:
This unit is a rebuild do by you been back to you 2x it semms to like to melt the soldier ot of the heater terminal on the tcr4c been replaced 3x by me ? any sugestions I Need another one now customer is mnot pleased????? Thanks Bob 607-279-0822
Reasons
1. The most likely cause of this is bad or loose wiring connections or a faulty heater element. If the connector on the relay is getting hot enough to melt the solder, either too much amperage is being drawn thru the relay or a connector is loose which can cause high temps. Was new heat sink compound installed on the replacement relays and were they tightened snugly to the heatsink?

Solutions

1. Check wiring and amp draw. Check for thermal paste on the back of the TCR4C. If the TCR4C is bad, it will need to be replaced but check for the above first.
