Sterilizer Manufacturer:

Model of Sterilizer:

Problem Title:
Our autoclave is haveing trouble heating up and keeping temp.
Problem Description:
When the autoclave is on the 1st cycle then it will sometimes heat up and other times it won't. When it does heat up all the way we switch it to the 2nd cycle and the temp will start to drop. We have recentally cleaned it and replaced the seal. We tried switching it to another outlet but it does the same thing.
Reasons
1. There could be some internal water leakage or a problem with the overheat protector.

Solutions

1. Try to get the unit to 270 degrees-30psi and turn the main valve counter-clockwise to fill and turn the time off. Empty and refill the resovoir if any debris is seen in the resovoir. This may help clean out any debris that is stuck in the valves. If the heat light is going out before it reaches temp, check the overheat protector to make certain that it remains closed during the heat up cycle.
