Sterilizer Manufacturer:
Pelton & Crane
Model of Sterilizer:
Delta 10
Problem Title:
Pelton Crane Delta 10 H2O from reservoir empties to chamber stays
Problem Description:
H2O from reservoir empties to chamber stays. All the H2O from reservoir empties into the chamber when you run a cycle.

Excess H2O will stay in chamber when you open the door.

H2O indicator will flash. Sterilization does not complete cycle. Please help.

Thank you.
Reasons
1. H2O error message means there is no enough water inside the chamber. The machine's surface sensor detect a high temperature (over 157C) on the chamber surface. This is a protection from over heating.
There are many reasons for this error.

4 main reasons:
1) No enough water filled into the chamber
2) Unit not sit in a good water level table
3) Some leaking here and there
4) The sensor out of work

Solutions

1. As the most reasons stated above.

1) Mostly the H2O happened because there is no enough water filled in. Usually this is caused by the 2 filters, which are dirty (One inside the chamber, one inside the reservoir). Do a test, start any cycle. After the filling ends, open the door (the cycle will fail), check to see there is enough water inside the chamber or not, about 1/4 inches.

If no enough water, make sure the 2 filters are clean. If the 2 filters are clean, then maybe other reasons, such as: fill/vent valves (solenoid) does not open, which will block the water in. If the solenoid itself is OK (check its OHM), then you may need to replace the MPU PCB board or Powerboard. If your machine just move to a new location, sometimes, you need to 2 times of opening door then filling to clean the air inside chamber.

If there is enough water inside the chamber, then sometimes, you may get this error when the machine is working in the temperature between 90C to 110C, this stage is for air bleeding, the dump solenoid keeps ON/OFF/ON/OFF to allow the air out of the chamber. If the machine temperature sensor is out of calibration, then this solenoid cannot be closed (the machine is waiting for a 111C reading for a close command). This will also cause run out of water. Power PCB board needs to replace.

Of course, please check to make sure there is no leaking here and there, especially the door gasket and safety valve.
