Sterilizer Manufacturer:
Tuttnauer
Model of Sterilizer:
Tuttnauer 2340M/MK
Problem Title:
Tuttnauer 2340M/MK-Pressure will not rise
Problem Description:
The pressure will not rise above 259
Reasons
1. Check whether the sterilizer ran out of water inside the chamber or not. If there is no water inside the chamber, it can not build pressure. Usually the chamber will get a high temperature (maybe a little burnt happened), then activate the high temperature over heat protection.

If this is the reason, then mostly there is a leaking. Check the door gasket first, this is easy to check, then check the air jet on the safety valve and the safety valve itself inside reservoir. After that, then check the chamber and piping system make sure no leaking.

However, mostly this leaking is from the multiple valve (fill/vent). Depends on which year the machine made, the valve is different, not exchangeable. On the leftside the No. CU810013, On the rightside, the No. CT810013
2. If the problem is not from the leaking of water, then it may be the temperature control (thermostat) needs to recalibrate
3. If the temperature control (thermostat) is not the reason, then maybe the temperature saftey is out of work, (very few case). depends on which year the machine made, the parts are different. 01620301 for all unit PRE 8/92. 01620103 for automatic reset temperature safety.
4. Very few case, most heating units (NOT All) out of work. Get an OHM meter to test the 4 heating elements. For sterilizing mode, it is 9 Ohm about, for dry mode, it is 36 Ohm about

Solutions

1. Please check the above analysis in the reasons. The above reasons are just for your reference. There are many possibilities for this problem. maybe the pressure gauge is out of work, maybe there is something in the pipe blocking the pressure to the pressure gauge. However mostly in our experience, the problem is caused by running out of water. And in running out of water case, mostly the reason is the leaking in the multipvalve CU810013 or CT810013 (depends on the valve is on the left or right of the front panel)
