Sterilizer Manufacturer:
Pelton & Crane
Model of Sterilizer:
Validator 8
Problem Title:
Pelton & Crane 8- Cycle will not finish--flashing H20 & leaking
Problem Description:
Our autoclave will not complete a cycle, stops early in the cycle beeping several times with H20 showing on the screen. The little indicator that shows when the water level is too low is not lit, and I've ensured that the water level is sufficient before starting the cycle. Water & steam are leaking out the door now as well.
I've noticed that the water chamber has alot of grime built up & I'd like to drain & clean but I also can't figure out how to drain the unit (we purchased refurbished without a manual).
Any help would be appreciated.
Reasons
1. H2O error code, means no water inside the Chamber during the sterilizer is working. Too many reasons depends on when this error shows up. For detailed information, please visit Delta H2O error
2. "The little indicator that shows when the water level is too low is not lit", the little inidcator is only get sensor from the Reservoir, not chamber. If it does not light up, it means you have enought water inside the Reservoir. Not related with this error H2O
3. Hopefully the problem is from the door gasket, if this is the reason, it is easy problem to solve by replacing the door gasekt. Bccause the water leak from the door gasket, the machine will run out of water, then at any time, you may get H2O error message, depends on how fast the machine runs out of water.
4. However, there may be somewhere else there is a leaking, which will cause the H2O problem too. It is hard to get a wild guess. You need to check one by one. Mostly this happened on the solenoid for rebuilt machine.
5. The worse reason is the digital board out of calibration.
This is often to rebuilt machine. The easy way to distinguish this is the reason is: The H2O error message ALWAYS shows up when the machine's temperature reading is between 90C to 110C (Not F: FAHRENHEIT)

Solutions

1. You can have a copy of the manual below.
2. To clean the dirty inside the chamber is very important to make sure the machine works properly. You need to clean its chamber, piping and regularly, it is a routine work. Try to use Chamberite, one of the best chamber cleaners/
3. There is a special drain hose coming with this machine. Depanding on which model you have, you may need to call 1-800-801-9934 for a help, the following is one sameple
