Sterilizer Manufacturer:

Model of Sterilizer:
Market Forge STM-E
Problem Title:
Market Forge STM-E -several problems
Problem Description:
I have a market forge autoclave that started acting up a while ago. The tech never mentioned any problems though until things got really bad. So I am looking for some advice on what to do next. The autoclave reaches temp fine, but is not reaching proper pressure. Because of this, when it is running, it is constantly deactivating the timer. You can also tell that steam is being released constantly on and off during the run. The water cooled exhaust solenoid is kicking in every few minutes. Before I started working on it, the water cooled exhaust solenoid had failed completely and water was constantly running through it. So I replaced the water cooled exhaust valve and solenoid. That problem was then solved. The timer was not working correcting either. I think that it was being cycled on and off so much that it was simply worn out. I have replaced that as well. But I am still not able to reach proper pressure and the timer is still cycling on and off frequently because of this. I checked you site and it looks like it could be either a bad steam trap or that the pressure switched need to be calibrated. Which one sounds like the case for the problem I am seeing? If the switches need to be calibrated, how does one go about do such a thing?
