Sterilizer Manufacturer:
Market Forge
Model of Sterilizer:
Market Forge STM-E
Problem Title:
Market Forge STME Residue Buildup
Problem Description:
Our autoclave was put into use in a new laboratory facility last September. We have been cleaning with a gentle nylon scrubber, and a mild soap (Neutrad). Regardless, there has been a continuous residue buildup on the lower interior, which we would like to take care of before it gets any worse.

If you could give me any suggestions how to clean this without harming the interior, and also how to prevent this from reoccuring.

Thank you.

Solutions

1. Market Forge chamber is made of Aluminium, which is very soft and sensitive to explore to oxygen. I donot know what kind of mild soap (neutrad), which you ran before. Usually after a complete clean, we can see the chamber inside color will get gray soon after 1 or 2 cycles, but no a continuous residue buildup.

Because Market Forge sterilizer does not come with a water reservoir, we do not think that this was from some remaining residue inside the machine before.

What we can suggest you to do is, to washing this chamber by water many times, to make sure the chamber inside as clean as possible. Then run some testing cycles again.
