Sterilizer Manufacturer:
Tuttnauer
Model of Sterilizer:
2540 & 3870 EHS
Problem Title:
Tuttnauer 2540 EHS Cooling In-Consistent
Problem Description:
The cooling process is in-consistent. After sterilization the cooling takes about 30-45 minutes to cool from 115 degree C to 100 degree C and sometimes it takes only 10 minutes. Kindly advise.

Our autoclave environment is about 38 degree C. Will iT affect the autoclave? the in-consistent of cans laoding, will it affect the autoclave too?

Solutions

1. It is normal that the cooling time is in-consistent for EHS sterilizers, especially for 2540EHS, which has a small chamber. Even same load the exhaust time usually are different in different cycles.

The main reason for this is the EHS sterilizer has a Jacket around its chamber. The Jacket temperature has slight different by the end of each cycle. The situation for 3870EHS is a little bit better than 2540EHS, because the 3870EHS chamber is bigger and its chamber temperature sensor installation is better than 2540EHS.

Depending on the ending temperature settings, if you set the ending temperature lower than 212F/100C, it is normal for the 2540EHS to take 10 minutes to 30 minutes to end the cycle.
